Pearific Lights crafts sculptural lighting where modern aesthetics meet sustainable practices.
Based in Hamilton, New Zealand, each lamp is designed by Farshid Sarmast and crafted to order from biodegradable materials. Founded in 2024, every piece is precision-made, never mass-produced, never pulled from inventory.
This is sculptural lighting as considered objects. Made with intention, built to endure.
Organic Minimal is our approach to form and materiality.
We study the curves of New Zealand’s coastlines, kelp swaying in tidal rhythms, stones smoothed by decades of ocean motion, the
organic geometry of native seedpods and shells. These natural forms, refined over millennia, inform our design language.
Our process is one of reduction. We begin with organic inspiration, translate it into sculptural form, then refine through iteration; sometimes twenty versions, sometimes more; removing everything inessential until only the essential remains.
The result is sculptural lightingthat feels both contemporary and timeless, familiar yet distinctive, minimal without being cold. Each lamp is sculptural enough to command attention, refined enough to integrate seamlessly into diverse interiors.
Organic Minimal means embracing nature’s logic: that the most enduring forms are those refined by time, not trend.
We founded Pearific Lights with a singular vision: to break free from the mundane world of mass-produced lighting and create extraordinary, design-led pieces that matter. Our mission extends beyond filling rooms with light: we craft experiences that transform spaces into something memorable and meaningful.
Every creation represents a harmonious marriage of artistry and revolutionary 3D printing technology, enabling us to achieve intricate, organic forms that traditional manufacturing simply cannot realise. This technological advantage allows us to push creative boundaries while maintaining the highest standards of quality and precision.
Sustainability flows through every aspect of our ethos. Through advanced manufacturing techniques, we dramatically reduce waste while creating lighting that embodies both environmental consciousness and refined aesthetics. We curate our collections rather than mass-produce them. We design exclusively for those who seek something genuinely extraordinary.

Every Pearific lamp is made to order. This isn’t marketing, it’s our operational reality.
No overproduction. No warehouse inventory. No deadstock ending in landfills. You order, we make it specifically for you. This eliminates
the waste inherent in mass manufacturing, where products are created speculatively and discarded when trends shift.
We craft our lamps from eco-friendly materials made from plant-based renewable resources. Unlike petroleum-based plastics that persist for centuries, these materials return to the earth when their lifecycle ends. They perform beautifully rigidly and precisely, and are capable of capturing fine detail, while remaining fundamentally renewable.
Because we manufacture everything in Hamilton, there are no container ships, no overseas factories, no fragmented global supply chains. Reduced transportation means reduced emissions. Local production means transparency and accountability at every stage.
Our 3-year warranty reflects our commitment to longevity. We design lamps to last decades, not a season. This is the antithesis
of disposable design; slow craft, built to endure, repairable when needed.
Zero waste isn’t aspirational. It’s how we operate every day

Farshid Sarmast is an industrial designer with a background in
creating products that balance form, function, and materiality.
His approach to lighting design is rooted in observation; studying
organic forms in nature, translating their inherent geometry into
sculptural objects, then refining each design through relentless
iteration.
Every Pearific lamp is designed personally by Farshid, with each
curve and proportion considered for both aesthetic impact and
structural integrity. His design philosophy emphasizes reduction:
removing everything that isn’t essential until only the essential
remains.
Beyond design, Farshid oversees every aspect of production, ensuring
each piece meets the standards he’s set, from material selection to
final quality control. This hands-on approach means nothing leaves
the studio until it’s right.
Each lamp begins as a design concept, refined through several iterations until the form achieves what we’re seeking. We then craft the piece using advanced sustainable manufacturing techniques, a process that can take anywhere from several hours to multiple days depending on size and complexity.
Once fabrication completes, we hand-finish every surface, ensuring the quality meets our exacting standards. We assemble the electrical components, test functionality and light quality, then package each lamp with care.
From order to shipping: 1 to 2 weeks. Not because we’re slow, but because we refuse to rush craft.
This is made-to-order in practice. Your lamp doesn’t exist until you order it. Then we create it specifically for you.
Pearific Lights is for those who notice.
You’re the person who appreciates when a lamp is more than functional; when it contributes to a room’s atmosphere, when its
form commands quiet attention, when its presence feels intentional rather than arbitrary.
You value design that doesn’t announce itself loudly but reveals its sophistication over time. You prefer fewer, better things to
abundant mediocrity. You care where objects come from and what impact their production has.
You’re not shopping for the cheapest option or the most exclusive. You’re looking for the right thing: beautifully designed, responsibly
made, built to last.
If this resonates, you’re in the right place.
This represents more than lighting. This is a commitment to designing objects that honor both aesthetic integrity and environmental
responsibility. To craft over speed. To quality over quantity. To pieces that endure.
Welcome to Pearific Lights.
